Well, they have already given us a perty good idea of what the President is gonna talk about tonite.. Iraq, Iran, Hamas, our addiction to oil.. I figger he is gonna beat his chest and roar a little bit for gettin Sam Alito approved to the Supreme Court too..
Thats all fine and dandy, but I hope he really drums on the oil subject.. I hope G.W. uses his eyes to bore holes in the obstructionists that have, so far, blocked drillin in ANWR, while he talks about em..
Waste #1 We have wasted way too much TIME in not already havin a viable alternative energy source in use.. They are out there and have been for a long TIME. For some of them, the TIME may already have passed.. For others, TIME has proven them to be a waste of TIME..
Waste #2 We have wasted too much MONEY.. I wonder if somewhere out there in cyberland that there may be someone that has kept track of how much MONEY has been spent in tests and surveys and trials and studies of off-the-wall miracle sources of energy that didnt have an ounce of credibility to em ?? I also wonder how much MONEY is STILL bein spent on em ??
Waste #3 We have wasted a lot of Effort.. After spendin a shitload of TIME and MONEY, we are now spendin a lot of EFFORT in tryin to get folks to use energy sources that have been designed and built.. The Not-In-My-Backyard Syndrome is alive and well today.. Nobody wants a wind farm for a neighbor.. Nobody wants an oil shale mine for a neighbor.. Nobody wants a biofuel plant in their neighborhood.. Nobody wants a nukular power generator for a neighbor.. Nobody wants a hydroelectric dam.. Not just in their neighborhood, but ANYWHERE.. In fact, some want ALL the advancements in all these areas to be shut down and dismantled..
Waste #4 ARGUMENTS have been wasted by the millions.. We have ARGUED till we are blue in the face to the folks that just will not fuggin see the light.. We have to have some form of energy source to run this country and keep it free and prosperous.. The WHOLE WORLD depends on America bein a free and prosperous country.. Almost all of yesterdays and todays techno advances have come from this country.. That wasnt done by some sort of fuggin magic either.. It was done with a lot of TIME, MONEY, and EFFORT.. But that too is still not enough for some folks.. They still ARGUE that its still unacceptable to be where we are today.. We ARE where we are today becuse of THEM and those like THEM !!
Where ARE we ?? We are in a dangerous place.. Anyday OPEC could turn off the spiget to our oil supply and we would no longer be a prosperous nation.. We would also not be a SECURE nation, and would then not be a FREE country for long.. If OPEC cut off the tap, before we could drill in ANWR and invade Mexico and take all their oil, we would already be beyond the point of bein able to protect our own country..
Waste #5 We have wasted all our CHANCES !! Any TIME we have left is all just borrowed time.. Any MONEY we have left, we need to buy guns and ammo with.. Any EFFORT we take, we better use it to try and secure a defendable position from.. If you are wantin to ARGUE about it, then you need to find somebody else to do it with cause you have already missed your CHANCE !!

Are you sure you're not a yankee in disguise?! You certainly don't think like the sterotypical redneck planted on his porch! An engineer told me, about 30 years ago, the answer for an alternative energy source was nuclear energy but it would never get the go ahead because people are too afraid of it. So what's our poison, radiation or hajis? Looks like it's going to be the latter. I've got my guns at the ready!
From the looks of it lately, arhabi and nukes are gonna go hand-in-hand soon.. But I'm afraid our worst enemy is gonna be ourselves.. If you have ever been to a seafood market, you will notice that the crab barrels dont have lids on em.. If one crab tries to climb out, another will pull it back down.. The divide in America is gonna be the downfall of us.. The divide between rich-poor, race, religion, politics, nort-south, east-west, city-country, young-old, and many other have gotten to be so "chiseled-in-stone", that there just doesnt seem to be any tolerence anymore.. When the shit hits the fan, there is gonna be a period of lawlessness that is gonna be extreme to say the least.. Hurricane Kat gave us a glimpse of it in Nawlins.. Imagine that on a scale of X 100 !!
For a while, I thought natural gas was gonna be a contender, but its supplies have been cut short too.. Hydrogen is just trading one imported evil for another cause the platinum needed for hydrogen comes from Africa and it is about as stable as the Middle East.. My guess is that we are gonna have to trim back a lot of energy use to be able to just get by.. Coal and oil shale are gonna have to be put on a fast-track.. NOW !! Augmented by biofuels, it might just hold us till the enviros can be bitch-slapped into accepting that our survival is gonna depend on using the resources we have IN THIS COUNTRY, and not some foreign nation that only uses the money they get from us to try and conquer us..
What I would really like to see is CONSERVATION !! Folks just drive too much.. Mostly just for the sake of driving.. Its so wasteful and those of us who dont do a lot of drivin and do conserve, still have to pay the high prices because others jump in the car to just drive around and keep the demand high which keeps the prices up.. As soon as I get my barrel filled up, gas can go as high as it wants, cause I will have a 3 to 4 months supply on hand, and by then thangs will be completely different.. Just about anywhere I need to go, I can go on my ridin mower, and if I just used it, I would have about a years supply of gas.. At least the cost of ammo hasnt gone up tho..

Everyone seems to think that wars should be neat and tidy with no innocent people killed. But you can`t fight or win a war this way. Another thing we would have nipped-in-the-bud had we give Iran hell back in '78, would be that the PRICK in charge in Iran TODAY, Achmadinejad, would not be puttin a nuke missile together.. He was one of the leaders of the Embassy takeover back then too.. Jimah Cawtah sold us out and he got a Prize for it, and folks will stand and applaude that pompous ass today still, just like at the King Funeral the other day.. I was in the Military back in '78 and I was like a pit bull at the end of my chain, and I wanted to eat me some Iranian ass too !! We had better teams, better equip. and better plans than were used in the desert then, but just werent used.. If ya ask me, I really think those folks were sent on a suicide mission.. I think it was planned to fail just so we wouldnt be forced to war with Iran and the M.E. .. We were supposed to look weak, disorganized, and unable to fight a war with them.. Carter will probably die dillusional, still thinkin he was a great Prez., and never realize just what a fuckup he really is and how much damage he caused..
