Its A Kid Thang

I'm not just real sure yet, but I think that to really enjoy Christmas and get the Christmas Spirit, you have to revert back into part of your childhood, or see it thru a childs eyes..
In the past few years I have gotten older and slower, and so I have tried to act more my age.. Sometimes by choice, sometimes not.. Its hard to take that kid inside me and hog tie him and duct tape his mouth and put him in the closet and just let him out SOMETIMES.. Its too hard to get the little shit in there in the first place, so I damn sure dont want to be lettin him out.. AT ALL.. But, I think that if I dont let that kid out for a while he may wither up and die on me.. I really dont think I want to live the rest of my life without that kid comin out every now and then.. Guess I'll have to figger out a better way to get him in and out of that closet.. I'm just worried that the mean little shit will hog tie and duct tape the "ol fart in me" and stuff his ass in the closet !! That might not be such a bad thang either.. Dont be surprised if you come here and find some kinda shit that looks like a little pimple-headed fugger wrote tho.. Matter-of-fact, I'm feelin thirsty for a big cup of Kool-Aid all of a sudden..

I ran off 2 wives cause I wouldnt grow up.. That was after I ran 1 off cause I was too grown-up for her.. She still wanted to be a kid and be married too, and I wanted to be too serious about it.. One extreme to the other I guess.. I just caint seem to find the middle ground anywhere..
I think my problem is that I marry older women.. That wasnt so bad when I was younger, but hell, the older women to me now, are almost members of AARP !! I think my next wife is gonna be a lot younger.. If this one dont kill me first !! LOL

WB, as you can prolly see, the younger crowd is my crowd. my wife is considerably younger than me, ten years purt near.
i CAN be responsible, as in paying the bills and working (if ya call snowboarding and skiing working) and i do it.
I had a high-pressure job once. and lots o money.
After cancer and chemo and all that horsehit, i worked one more year at the high-dollar rate, paid off some outstanding debt, bought my little house (we were two years from having the kids gone) and the day my 90k in hospital bills that bluecross didnt cover was paid, i quit that high paying job.
These days, working in the christmas trees in the summer and the snow in winter, suits me best. i have a month off in spring, two in the fall.
Gives me lots of time to politely ask all my girlfriends for thong pics..........

I busted ass for over 25 years and had us faily set for retirement, and the 20th of December that year the wife told me she was leavin, and took everything she could beg, borrow, or steal with her, including our 11 year daughter.. I lost a lot of interest in life after that.. That was almost 10 years ago, and I have kinda gotten a little bit of stuff built back up, but not near retirement comfortable yet.. I'm not able to do much work on a regular basis anymore, so I mostly live off $250 a month from savings.. The wife has to be a full time mother to her kid, so that lets-out her working, but she gets a little check for her daughter.. We dont get to enjoy a lot of frills, but we dont suffer too bad.. We still have us a good coldbeer now and then, and get to make our own schedule.. All-in-all, life aint too bad, as long as our DSL is workin !! LOL

Man, sounds like you live even poorer than I do.......and i live pretty poor.
However, in the spring, i have applied for a school grant, and am going to college for a photojournalism certificate. I love to shoot pics, am decent at it. And i love to hear people listen to me. It will be an adventure, no matter how it turns out!

My last wife, (before the current one) took me for a pretty good ride, too. Funny how that works out, cause she, at the time, was the one i loved the most. My wife now, she is one tolerant woman, cause i am pretty much a handful!

Snow, down girls britches? Why would you think such a thing of me, Bill? OF COURSE I would! And as the season winds along i will post pics from last season, where that situation DID occur. haha, they keep an eye open for me now, tho.
dangit.

I don't know how you feel about losing your leg, but you are the third person in my life that has lost one.
The first guy, mike, worked as a welder where i made the big bucks. he lost his leg when he was snowmobiling, and hit a plow truck during a blizzard, in the early 80s. He is near to 60 now.
The second guy, Scott, one of my best friends, worked at the same place. He still had both when i met him. We did not work in the same dept, he worked in the pre-casting concrete production, driving a sky-trac that carried the mud-bucket. (concrete)
The extendable boom forktruck had a sticky joystick, he was backing out of the gate where the mud-bucket gets filled, the joystick did not return to center, he did not notice. the skytrac rolled on to its side, when he turned sharply with a full bucket (2 cubic yards) of cement, above the center of gravity. he saw it coming, tried to climb out the high-side window, his right leg and left foot were landed on by this 40,000lb machine. He lost the right just below the knee, and 4 toes on his left foot. He went thru much re-constructive surgery to keep the left foot, too. we were roomies at the time, and it was hell for him.
he still suffers greatly, has never been the same, and is desperately bitter. i still miss him. he refuses to do much of anything, and refuses to let anyone other than his mamma help him.
we are still friends, but i dont feel that i am much use to him. saddens me.

now that i have written a novel, i gotta go shovel the walk. and drive. 12" of snow since 6 pm yesterday, i have a 150 mile drive ahead of me, to lansing. A ski-resort/warren miller film shin-dig, at east lansing high school. the ghetto. should be exciting.

i wont be on much till monday, but look for pics, got some good ones coming out. and if you want to share the link to my site with the group at East Texas, you go right ahead. make sure ya warm em about thong pics, tho!!

Talk at ya later, Wild Bill
