Death By Gubmint

They Just Caint Get A Break

Not everybody got everythang they owned consumed in the San Diego Fire area.. Some of the responsible ones had taken advantage of the ability to clear dangerous conditions around their property and were spared the devastation of the blazes..

They managed to save their property and animals from the Envio-Nut-created threat of disaster that they were forced to live with.. Now many are livin with the threat from the PETA and Animal Protection Nuts.. They have to stand 24/7 guard over their critters to keep Animal Control from confiscatin em.. Aint that a helluva note !!

They call these responsible folks "SURVIVALISTS" ..

But WHAT did these people actually SURVIVE ??

From my point of view they survived Gubmint Control and Regulation..

Its gotten pathetic now and its gettin worse by the day.. Its just impossible to be 100 percent compliant anymore.. You dont even have to be a property owner anymore to be the target of controls and regulations.. They even have people that check your trash to see if you are in accordance.. Did you seperate paper from plastic ?? Did you seperate your organics ?? Do you use the prescribed trash bag ?? Is your type of lawn grass allowable ?? Is it the right height ??

Gubmint needs to get the hell out of our lives cause they are creatin a lot of people out here that are gettin a gut-full of their control and regulations and are gettin really pissed !!

Gettin really pissed? I like your deliberate and humorous understatement there, WB

Folks are already royally pissed and have been for a long time.

I know you've figgered I spend a lot of time overseas and that's way too much as I see it, but my circumstances are "unusual" so to say.

I spend most of that time in England and if you think it's bad back home, you'd blow your stack completely if you had to live over here.

I've said this so many times before but I pray to God that the US doesn't go the same way as Europe and, to a lesser extent, the UK.

Here is the real land of "Death By Gubmint" in the way you describe it.

I think it's already too late for California and there's a few more States on the danger list.Beware the enemies within!!

It's harrowing as well as maddening.

God Bless America and all it ever stood for and mercifully always will.

Hell, I'm gettin all mushy patriotic this morning.

Love Greg's comment. Great entry, WB. Don't give up on California, please!!! We're not all liberal, nuts or fruit!!!!

As far as getting pissed off - oh, hell yes. Can't drill for oil. Can't register a car unless it meets emissions controls. Can't buy cheap gas because it has to be formulated for clean emissions. Can't smoke outdoors in most cities now. The list is endless. Primo parking spots in garages reserved for those ugly ass electric cars.

If I didn't love this state, I'd move!!!! I'll be damned, though, if foreigners (non native born) chase me from the state I was born in.

Hey Cheryl, nice to meet ya.

Whatever I might say about CA here and in other places, I know you ain't all crazy over the Rockies.

There's always been a whole lotta competition between CA and TX and although there have been bitter episodes about trade n stuff in the past, it has mostly been good natured.

I ain't never been to CA and it's not on the top of my places to visit list right now, but I believe Miss Lorraine's folks lived that way at one time or another and said it is a beautiful place.

Don't ever be chased out of your home state, Cheryl. CA is a big state and whatever picture gets posted in the media day after day there are millions of folks in CA like you - real Americans all!!

God Bless you.

Dont get me wrong, Cheryl, cause I know damn good and well that it aint just Cali. that has gone Regulation-Happy !!

They have even started gettin that way around here, and hell, there aint 20,000 people in the whole damn county..

And Kim du Toit posts a bunch of stuff the Brits have to put up with, and I dont thank I could handle a bunch of it..

Ya shouldn't handle it, WB, not the way you seem to feel about stuff and I'm with ya all the way on that.

I ain't never heard of this Kim person, but I could tell you a thing or two that would make you more than mad if it was happenin in TX - and you don't need that.

I'm just prayin for the USA in that regard.

I know you boys aren't bashing California, just the jackasses that get all the attention and give my beloved state a bad name!!

Greg, you guys should come and visit - up north!! As far as I'm concerned, the south could sink into the ocean. There is nothing as majestic as the Rockies, the giant Sequoias, the Cascades, and the Pacific Ocean. Oh, Yosemite and more!! We have a lot going on here!!!!

I'm with you guys - too much regulation, too many taxes, too much being told what to do - what happened to America the land of the free?????

I pray for us all. It will take His strength to get us through this mess.

We will get through the mess, Cheryl and we have to believe in that or life would become intolerable.

I've seen the pictures - CA is a beautiful place and you guys make great wine!! I believe that was once a bone of contention with TX?!!

The majesty of that landscape ain't there for nothing. Such things help to keep us all sane.

cheryl - i was born and bred californistinian and i don't miss it one iota - sometimes you should listen to God, who says, "come out of her MY PEOPLE..." and get the hell out before it's too late.

we've had no regrets.

Cheryl, some of the good guys in CA needs to ban together and vote some of those jokers out of office. I do know that there's a lot of good folks in CA, but I keep wondering who votes the nut cases into office out there. Get rid of them, put some conservatives in there and that wouldn't be too bad a place to hang out.

And WB is right, the gub'mint is getting too much control over everyday stuff that they need to stay out of.

It sure is nice out here in the boondocks where I live. I got tired of the crap, bought me a piece of land back up in the mountains, built a nice house and moved off and left them. The power company asked me if I wanted a night light mounted on the service pole. I told him no, that I liked looking at the stars not at an artificial light.

All those laws and regulations are just another form of TAX !!

The more stupid the law or regulation is then the more likely that people are gonna ignore it and that means more people are gonna get to pay the TAX..

When our local Poleece Dept. gets new cars you can count on em stoppin anythang that moves and the number of tickets they write is gonna balloon out of sight..

Even if it is just your tag light that is out, you are still gonna be stopped and grilled bout where you been and where you are goin and your car and drivin record gone over with a fine-tooth comb..

REAL poleece work like catchin and stoppin crimes that involve rape, robbery, crimes against kids, and murder and car-jackin dont have much of a return on the investment in those new cars, so dont get a very high priority..

There is a lot more money to be made from fleecin the public for not usin a signal to make a lane change or not comin to a complete stop at a stop sign!!

Nanc, I think you'll find that there's a whole bunch more folks than tree-huggers that ain't discovered Arkansas yet - a long may it stay that way.

Arkansas is definitely up near the top of my places to visit list.
