After tryin all I know to get the Wild Bill post links to work, and not havin any luck, I decided to just do the whole damn thang over again !! But I thank Wild Bill is worth it.. I just hope that Mr. Cassidy will understand about me usin his stuff here..

I wasn't going to say anything because his family has asked to keep it quiet, but people are asking and I feel it would be wrong for me to pretend I don't know anything. Wild Bill is in the hospital, he had a major heart attack about two weeks ago and is recovering, but very slowly. His family has asked that people not try and figure out where he is, not try and visit him, not call on the phone, not make a tent city in the parking lot. If you feel compelled to send him a get-well card, you can do it here:

I realize he's got to go sometime, you can only cheat death for so long -- but I keep thinking "not now." My thoughts are with Bill, but also with our Sailors, Soldiers, and Marines who are dying young, every day, without the opportunities that Bill's had. All of you in Iraq and Afghanistan, come home safe and soon.

I got through WB.
I left him a message. I read somewhere that all of our WWII and Korean Vets will be all gone to the gates in just a very few years.
The World's Greatest Generation gone and most kids for the last forty years and on into the future will not learn a damn thing about them in school.
I had to teach my own Grandkids (still teaching) about our Republic and the ones that have made it great and that have enabled it to survive. The schools won't even try, except to tell them how we have made the world a bad place and that everyone hates us.
God help us.
Seems like a never-endin battle to try and instill credibility and logic to people, and it aint just to kids..
Some of em make it to young adults and have never been taught not to lie, cheat, and steal, or that there may a whole nuther world out there that they dont know about that is full of people that they dont know about either..
Some kids are sheltered and protected and hid away in front of a TV or behind a video game and when they go out with their parent all they know of how to interact with other people is how they see the parent act, and many times the parent dont want the kid to speak or even look at the old guy with the D.A.V. or American Legion hat on and missin a leg or arm or wearin an eye patch..
When I see people with kids walkin down the street in front of the house while I'm sittin on the porch, the kids will be jumpin and playin till they get close to me and then the parent gets the kids hand and pulls em up close to em.. The parent never lokks toward me but I sneak a little wave and a big smile at the kid when I catch em lookin and they usually give me a little wave and smile back..
Like you say, the kids dont learn the HARD FACTS at school, and the parents try to protect em from it away from school..
The System that the liberals have devised to rewrite history seems to be workin.. History books have been banned while porn flows to the kids freely.. Talk Radio is soon to stand a test of censorship, again, while CNN, BET and MTV runs 24 hours a day with video to go with the propaganda..
Almost seems like a losin battle sometimes.. Then you meet or hear of one of the GOOD KIDS and its all worth it again..
