I'm At A Loss For Words

So, here are a few videos and other stuff to entertain you till I can re-compose myself..

A friend wrote me and said he had been in the hospital, but they sent him home and told him to get comfy and ordered him Hospice.. Its breakin my heart !!

This guy reminds me a lot of Gopher.. click this

This gentleman does too.. click this

Gopher liked Country Music too.. like this guy (from The Blue Star Riders(blogroll)

Also from The Blue Start Riders comes this one.. click here

If I sent this one to Gopher, I could be assured that he would have sent me a RANT back as long as my arm !! click here

I remember that he got a huge kick out of this one.. click here

Just like me, we both thought the world of this guy.. click here

Gopher is one of the Good Ones, so keep him in your thoughts..

WB, I am so sorry. It's always so hard when someone you care for is getting ready to move on. You know you have friends here. We're here for you. When you talk to Gopher tell him we've gotten to know him through you, and our thoughts and prayers are with him. If sending a card is appropriate from a stranger, let me know.

Thanks, Cheryl.. Gopher was special kinda feller.. He set up a site online for kids to come to and learn about catfishin instead of the other meanness that is on here that passes for entertainment..

Gopher attracted a bunch to his site and all of em wadnt kids either.. His site lives on witjout him since he turned it over to some other members he could trust to carry LoneStarCatfishers forward..

He was a Tanker Troop in Korea and came home with some serious health issues he has had to deal with for many years and has lasted way longer than he was supposed to.. He has known that it was comin for a long time and tried to enjoy the time he had and was the happiest sittin in his boat out on the lake or river with a hook in the water waitin for "the big one" to take the bait..

I've talked to him about it and he aint scared of it but just hates to have to leave and not see his daughter graduate this spring and see his grandkids grow up to go fishin with him..

His wife is due to retire this year and they were gonna sell their big house in the City and move to the countryside and have a small place near a lake and finally have some peace and quiet for the remainin years.. He was gonna be closer to us and many of his friends then and we would all be able to get together more then..

A bunch of our common friends have motor homes and campers and I was gonna have everybody meet at my farm this year and camp where we would have plenty of room and be out by ourselves and not bothered like we would at a campground.. I didnt get to take my farm back till this year tho and we never got to have our get-together.. Maybe we can still have it but it aint gonna be the same without Gopher there with us..

But its really had me re-thankin my life lately.. I dont get out and do thangs I enjoy like I should.. But I'm gonna start.. Soon.. Very soon..

What a great tribute to him Wild Bill. Seems he has found his treasure in all the friendships garnered over the years.

He should be soooo proud of his life. Sounds like he made a difference...it is what we all hope to do.

And when he gets to Heaven and has his life review he will truly see he was on the plus side (one of the good ones) God will be pleased. A life well lived and loved.

It is so hard to lose the good ones.

We have wonderful hospice services up here---hope it is the same in Texas.

May God bless yer friendship and show Gopher the easy road home when it is time.

I love you both. Take care friend.
