Redneck Muddy Gras set this weekend

ATHENS — The third annual Texas Redneck Muddy Gras, presented by Wulf Outdoor Sports, is set for Thursday through Sunday at Pool Ranch ATV Park in Athens.

This year's event will include a Muddy Gras parade, costume contest, Mr. and Ms. Sexy Redneck contest and Mud Chicks Gone Wild. Registration for redneck events will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, and events will begin at 1 p.m.

There are no entry fees.

Entertainment on Friday includes Uncle Lucious, and Saturday afternoon Morrison-Williams will perform. Both bands will perform Saturday evening, along with the Seth James Band.

Tickets are available at the gate. Admission for the full weekend is $20 per person and $15 per ATV. Guests younger than 18 will not be allowed to enter without a parent or guardian or a signed consent form.

Gates open at noon Thursday and close at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The weather is gonna be a helluva lot better than New Yoik is gonna have, but still gonna be on the cool side.. Temps are supposed to be in the 50 to 60 degree range, and we have SNOW predicted for tomoro..

I didnt go last year myself but I looked at a bunch of the pics from it.. It was a little warmer and there were plenty of Daisy-Dukes and halter tops to go round and from the looks of it, there was plenty of fun and games for eveybody to find somethin that they enjoyed..

Maybe I can find where the pics are from last year and post a link to em here..
