Seems as tho the terrorist "chatter" activity on communication networks is gettin very intense around the world right now.. This is the kind of stuff that happens before attacks like the WTC and the London Train Bombins..
The terrorists have been sayin for a while now that the next attack will make 9-11 look like child's play.. That the next attack will have blood runnin in the streets.. And those that have been makin these threats, have been makin em more frequently..
Over the Memorial Day Holiday President Bush took the initiative to organize a "Fall-Back Plan" for when the next disaster-of-an-attack happens.. Did he have any choice ??
The (D)s (D-for "deniars") have made it as near impossible to detect and prevent furure attacks as they possibly could, so, we are left with the option of preparin for the aftermath of the next attack(s)..
Now it seems that the (D)s are gettin their panties in a wad over that too !! There just dont seem to be any limit to the depths that the (D)s will stoop to in makin our country as in-secure and un-safe as they can and to give away the money for the security and safety of this country and its citizens to the very ones that threatin it the most..
One of the thangs that the president has done is to contract KBR(I thank thats short for Haliburton) to plan for a large number of Emergency Facilities for the housin of large numbers of people.. Makes you wonder who these places are gonna be supposed to be for, dont it.. Are they gonna be for the DEtention of people considered a threat to us, or, are they gonna be for the REtention of US, to protect us from those that are a threat to us ??
Either way, it just dont look good !!
The odds aint very favorable for the president to be able to make these into Concentration Camps and FORCE people into em, but the more likely tactic is to have these places available, more or less as FORTS, for people to VOLUNTEER to go into em for their own protection..
The president has vast amounts of resources and Intel that we dont have, and he has taken the action of tryin to prepare for a catastrophe of a great magnitude.. You would thank that the (D)s have also been privy to that same Intel and Resources and would come to the same conclusion, but I guess not..
But do you trust the (D)s to be in control of your safety and security after what we saw them do in Nawlins and Louisianna before and durin hurricane Katrina ?? But the REALLY SCARY part is when you take a look at what the (D)s have done since Katrina to prepare for what could happen again down there !!
That and the (D)s actions on safety and security on a NATIONAL level is what makes me lean towards President Bush's idea of BE PREPARED cause its comin..
Presidential Candidate John Edwards (D), says that the WAR ON TERROR is nothin more than a bumper sticker slogan, but that bumper sticker aint gonna do a lot of fuggin good when the next attack happens..

This crap just scares the living bejeebers out of me. Not the attack on our soil - that's a damned given. People are bandying about the 4th of July as the day to beware of. Having the Democrats be responsible for the safety of the citizens chills my blood. Same with Republicans, now known as Lite Democrats.
What the hell good are bunkers, fortresses, whatever, in the case of a nuclear attack? Don't know about the rest of you, but I wouldn't want to live in an area that will glow for eons. Radiation sickness is something I think I'll pass on.

The time has come to exercise the Second Amendment. Call me a crackpot, I don't care. I have no faith in Bush, sorry to say. Only the citizens can save our beloved country. What in the hell is it going to take for everyone to wake up to the danger we are facing?

Just like in the war effort, until it affects every living American and they actually have to SACRIFICE something.
The vast majority bump along and look at the news as entertainment, far removed from the reality.
Only when reality bites on an individual mass level will there be an awakening. We are in some tough times.
WB, tho I'm just as scared as anybody else, (mainly for Sweet Sarah) I know if you follow a few hard and fast rules, you can survive a nuclear attack unless your within about ten miles of the strike.
I have done a lot of reading about it, plus the small amount I got in AIT in the Army. Wind carries radiation and if your down wind, you have a problem. But if you stay underground with your air supply filtered, you will be ok as it is carried by the dust in the air.
It will pass, and if you can't stay where you are, if you cover yourself well (duct tape and plastic will do) you can walk out or drive out of affected areas before getting a dose that will kill you.
I keep masks, the disposable plastic suits, tape, gloves and other stuff that the government and survival websites recommend. I have had them for years, but I have checked them and they are still ok.
You can also take regular large plastic trash bags and make your own, that is, if you have a supply of those large trash bags.
The masks can be bought at different places, just buy some that filter, micron size particles. Of course a self contained breathing outfit would be best, but unless your a scuba diver, you most likely won't have one handy.
Everyone should invest in an undergound shelter. Not just for the nukes, but more for the tornado's and other natural disasters.
The one I made a few years ago, is a redneck poor boy shelter.
I had a backhoe dig me a hole twelve feet deep. I dropped an old oil storage tank in it (it had been cleaned out and sandblasted and primed inside and out.) The hole was large enough to backfill about six inches of gravel under it and all around it with gravel so as to drain off any water. I cut the hole out in the top to accept a metal door big enough to get in furnishings and supplies. I installed a 12v/120v blower to circulate air with a filter stack made out of automotive air filters and installed power lines to my generator which is housed in a metal container with venting for exaust and intake, with a remote start and an underground fuel supply.
It is all southern engineered and built on the cheap, but using designs and ideas that others have used and proven. This is of course the place that I keep all my weapons and ammo.
I have friends that have more extensive and expensive shelters, but I make do with what I have.
If I move, I will have to start all over with my shelter. I have better Ideas and have the experience now to make an even better shelter. I have been doing research on the internet and have found many great ideas, plans and others that have built great shelters for their family.

If a person is not in the immediate blast area or fall-out area, then with a little common sense and protective measures they can survive and plan for their escape from an area that close to the impact point to a lesser contaminated area..
But you are right that the dust is the main danger .. I plan to shave our heads if it happens so that we can make the most of our water reserves and lessen the contact with dust..
Fallout is the biggest threat to us here.. Aint nothin within 100 miles of us that would even be considered a possible target and that would be maybe Dallas and the winds here are seldom from that direction so even fallout would be a problem for us for only a short time..
Personal Security is what is gonna be a bitch for us here.. We have small Forces and mostly inexperienced police and sheriffs staffs.. That means that whoever has the most and biggest guns and ammo and the most guts are the ones that are gonna make it..
Hopefully Boston (Kennedy voters), Pittsburg (Murtha voters), or San Francisco (Pelosi Voters) are on their list of targets.
